The Upgrading of Sector E6 in Abu Dhabi is a major urban development initiative undertaken by Abu Dhabi Municipality to modernize and enhance infrastructure within one of the city’s key residential sectors. The project aimed to improve the quality of life for residents by rehabilitating essential services, upgrading utilities, improving road networks, and enhancing public facilities. The scope included road resurfacing, stormwater drainage improvement, street lighting upgrades, landscaping enhancements, and adjustments to pedestrian pathways. Modern engineering solutions were applied to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and long-term durability of the upgraded systems. The development also incorporated safety improvements and urban beautification elements to elevate the sector’s livability and accessibility. Completed within 18 months, the project reflects the municipality’s commitment to developing resilient and future-ready urban environments that meet the evolving needs of residents. Consultant: AECOM
