Orient House for Development and Construction LLC engaged in a business of Construction and Building Projects contracting and general maintenance of Building. OHDC shall remain committed to protection and maintenance of the Health and Safety of its employees, customers, Visitors and the community at large and protect the physical environment in which the company activities are carried out.
Purpose
The purpose of this smoking policy is to maintain the commitment to a safe and healthy working environment. To that end, OHDC will limit the exposure of all of its site personals and the public to environmental tobacco smoke in the construction site.
This policy applies to all workforce working inside project premises.
OHDC prohibits smoking at all working environment, with the exception of designated smoking areas. This includes a non-smoking policy while operating company equipment.
Designated Smoking Areas
The site designated smoking area is:
- Clearly marked
- Equipped with appropriate facilities
- Away from hazardous locations, i.e. flammable storage areas, ignition sources etc.
- Away from non-smokers
- Fire Fighting equipment is provided
Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
Compliance
All personnel working inside premises are expected to comply with all aspects of this policy and support others in doing so. A violation of this policy could result in disciplinary action up to and including suspension from this site.
